The Rotary Club of Ngora was founded in 2023 and officially admitted to Rotary International on 27th April 2023 with seventy-seven Charter Members.
The Club brings together professionals, business leaders, public servants, entrepreneurs, and community members committed to creating sustainable solutions to local challenges.
As part of Rotary International, we align with Rotary's global mission of peacebuilding, disease prevention, clean water, education support, environmental conservation, and economic empowerment.

The journey of Rotary Club of Ngora

The Vision
Prof. Francis Omaswa, then President of the Rotary Club of Kampala, shared a vision of establishing a Rotary club in Ngora.

First Meeting
The inaugural meeting was held in Ngora and attended by eleven pioneering members who became the foundation upon which the Club was built.
2022/23
Club Growth
Supported by Rotary Club of Kampala and Rotary Club of Sonde, and guided by Charter President Kate Barasa Asekenye, the Club grew through fellowship, recruitment, and service.

Rotary Community Corps & Buddy Groups
Rotary Club of Ngora works with community-based volunteers and buddy groups who help connect Rotary service to real local needs. These groups strengthen mobilisation, project follow-up, and sustained impact beyond individual club activities.
Through this model, community members can serve alongside Rotarians even when they are not formal Rotary club members, helping identify priorities, support outreach, and keep projects rooted in the people they are designed to serve.
